Terms of Service
Last updated: May 11, 2026
These terms govern your use of 1% IRL (the “Service”), operated by 1% IRL (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to these terms, which form a binding end-user license agreement (EULA) between you and 1% IRL.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior
1% IRL has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Objectionable content includes, without limitation: harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content, nudity, content depicting minors, impersonation, spam, and any content that violates another person's safety or dignity.
We act on every report. Confirmed violations result in immediate removal of the offending content and, at our sole discretion, permanent removal of the violating account. We may act within 24 hours of receiving a report. Users may also block any other user at any time directly from that user's profile or any direct-message screen; blocking is symmetric and immediate.
To report objectionable content or an abusive user, tap the Report button on the user's profile sheet or any direct-message screen, choose a category (harassment, threats, impersonation, inappropriate content, underage, spam, other), and optionally add details. To block a user, tap the Block button in the same place; the blocked user will no longer be able to contact you or see you in the app.
Who can use the Service
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must use a real identity in your profile (real name, real photo). Bots, alts, and impersonation accounts are prohibited.
- Events are invite-only. Receiving an invite or being cleared off a waitlist is at the host's discretion.
What you agree not to do
- Harass, threaten, or stalk other users. Sending unwanted contact after someone has declined a Signal is a violation.
- Share another user's photos, messages, or profile content outside the app without their explicit permission.
- Use the Service for commercial solicitation, MLM recruiting, or political campaigning.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service.
- Misuse the check-in or Lock-In flows (faking location, sharing PINs).
Your content
You own your profile content. You grant us a limited license to display it inside the Service so other cleared attendees can see it. We do not use your content to train AI models. When you delete your account, your content is permanently removed.
Events and host conduct
Some events are operated by venue partners or hosts. 1% IRL is not the host of every event listed and does not guarantee event details, attendance, or conduct of other attendees. Trust your instincts.
Account termination
You may delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for events that occur between users in the real world.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app. Continued use after notice means you accept the updated terms.
